Before the first class of GRA617, I did not know exactly what I would learn from this course. After the last lecture in watching "Helvetica", I feel that I really have some different points and thoughts.

First, I acquire a lot of confidence from different projects. Actually, I never thought that I was a talented person of design, and I have thought that I was a person who lack for creativity. However, in these 6 weeks, I found that I could finish a poster, logo and even website. Although my works are still not so complete, but they really give me some enlightenment that I can design as long as I try.

Second, I really learn some useful software for mass communication industry. I tried to learn some skills of Photoshop in Taiwan, but I couldn't get familiar with it because I never apply it in real projects. Here, I could keep practicing Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator through all projects, and it's really helpful.

Finally, I really learned a lot from professors, TAs and classmates. As an international student who has just been here for 2 months, I admitted that sometimes I felt confused about the instruction in tools and functions. I really appreciated my classmates' help. Besides, I also thank Greg and Koren for discussing and sharing opinions with me in all projects. Both of you inspired my designs a lot!

I really had a good time here, and I'm sure that I would do more designs in my future magazine editing and ICC courses!
